Kediri - Persik Kediri continue the hunt for players. Most recently, the White Tigers brought in a wing-back from Persiraja Banda Aceh M Rifaldi. The player who was born in Palu, October 3, 1996 is projected to increase the strength of the Persik Kediri defense line, which had previously confirmed three defenders. Namely, Agil Munawar, M Sabillah and Arthur Felix.
Persik Kediri coach Javier Roca said the recruitment of M Rifaldi was in accordance with the current needs of the team.
"I have monitored and seen M Rifaldi's ability directly in the second round. As a player who is still quite young, we think he can strengthen the depth of the Persik Kediri squad next season," said Javier Roca in a written statement, Wednesday (13/4/2022) night.
M Rifaldi will be plotted in the position of right or left defender of Persik Kediri's defense. Rifaldi is also known as a versatile player. The young player will compete with Agil Munawar.
"Indeed, ideally in 1 position, we must have at least 2 players ready to use. In addition, his ability to play in other positions such as defensive midfielder is also a consideration why we brought him in," said Roca.
Previously, Persik Kediri had brought in Riyatno Abiyoso and Brazilian striker Renan Silva. The plan is that they continue to look for new players to strengthen their team, for the sake of a better target next season.
