Portugal striker Leo renews contract with AC Milan until 2028

Portuguese striker Rafael Leo originally had a contract with AC Milan until next summer, and has now renewed his contract with the club for five years until 2028.

AC Milan officially issued a statement: "AC Milan Football Club is pleased to announce that Raphael Leo has renewed his contract until June 30, 2028. Since joining AC Milan in the summer of 2019, Rafael has played for the club. In 162 games, he scored 41 goals and contributed 29 assists, and was elected the best player in Serie A last season. AC Milan and Rafael will continue their journey together.”

According to Fabrizio Romanodi, Leo's annual initial income is around £4.3m, of which £1.7m comes from add-ons and undisclosed signing fees.

In all competitions this season, Leo played 47 times for AC Milan, scored 14 goals and contributed 15 assists, achieving a good record, helping the club lock the top 4 in Serie A and successfully win the UEFA Champions League next season entry ticket.

It's a pity that AC Milan lost to Inter Milan in the semi-finals of this season's UEFA Champions League and was eliminated with a total score of 0-3. At that time, Leo was unable to play due to a muscle injury, so he could only sit on the bench and watch the team lose.

It is said that AC Milan will focus on this summer's transfer window, and one of the club's current goals is Frarin Balogun, who is on loan from Arsenal to Lens.
