Prepare the League, LIB Wants to Meet with Kemenpora-Polri
2/16/2021, 18:22 JAKARTA - President Director of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) Akhmad Hadian Lukita hopes that his party and PSSI can meet with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Police on one occasion to discuss the technical protocol for health prevention of COVID-19 in Leagues 1 and 2.
"Hopefully there will be a meeting to discuss the league technically," said Akhmad Hadian in Jakarta, Monday (8/2).
According to Akhmad Hadian, his party is ready to explain in detail the implementation of the health protocol in League 1 and League 2 Indonesia 2021.
LIB, he continued, also continues to strive to complete all administrative requirements so that the National Police will immediately grant permission for the competition.
Communication is routinely carried out with the National Police and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, but these parties have never sat down together to discuss technical matters.
"We continue to establish good communication with the National Police and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. And in the future if there is a meeting involving the two agencies, we are ready," said Akhmad Hadian.
He said, the matter of implementing health protocols in leagues is important because it can be a reference for other sports that hold competitions in Indonesia.
"The health protocol in football has become the benchmark for all sports because it is the most complicated to implement," said Akhmad Hadian.
Regarding the implementation of sports competitions in general, Menpora Zainudin Amali and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo held a meeting at the Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Monday (8/2).
Menpora hopes the police can issue permits for sports activities as long as they comply with the COVID-19 prevention health protocol.
Meanwhile the National Police Chief emphasized that his party was open to discussing the matter further.
"We from the National Police open space to discuss this further, such as matters that need to be prepared both in administrative nature and prioritizing enforcement of health protocol rules so that activities related to youth and sports can be carried out. Therefore, there needs to be agreements which of course if it is violated, it will have an impact on the implementation of these activities, "said Listyo Sigit.
PSSI and PTLIB are targeting Liga 1 and Liga 2 Indonesia for the 2021 season to start after Lebaran 2021, around May or June.
Currently, all preparations have been made and it is only a matter of waiting for permission from the Police so that everything can run.
