BANDUNG -- The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has received permission to hold a competition from the Indonesian National Police. The permit has been received by the Minister of Youth and Sports Zainudin Amali.

PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi said the league permit was still with the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) and PSSI would soon receive it. However, the schedule has not been determined because PSSI General Chair Mochamad Iriawan is in a period of grief after losing his mother who died on Monday (31/5).

"We have not processed and arranged the schedule. We have not received the permit. God willing, after this we will report to the general chairman to arrange the procession," said Yunus in Dago, Bandung City, Tuesday (2/6).

Competition permits are granted for Liga 1 and League 2. Given that League 3 is under PSSI asprov. Yunus ensured that PT Liga Indonesia Baru as the operator would soon gather the club for a manager meeting.

"After this, PT LIB will invite friends from League 1 and 2 clubs for a manager meeting with PSSI and a workshop with PSSI throughout Indonesia to present the program results from the decision made by the congress yesterday," said Yunus.

Yunus admitted that the format used would be the same as what PSSI Deputy Chairman Iwan Budianto had described at the PSSI congress. However, he made sure that the club still received exposure so that they understood the format of the competition.

"As stated at the congress, but the final is at the manager's meeting. Let the club and LIB agree on what the format will be," said Yunus.
