LONDON - Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford and Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka will miss playing for England in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Poland due to injuries. Both of them did not play when England won 5-0 over San Marino at Wembley, Friday (26/3) WIB.

"Marcus Rashford and Bukayo Sakatak will take part in England's next match in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers," read a statement from the English Football Federation (FA).

Quoted from the BBC , Saturday (27/3), Rashford has actually suffered from an injury since the initial call, but remains in Gareth Southgate's squad. Because of this, he will return to United for further examination.

Meanwhile, Saka did not participate in team activities due to a hamstring injury. Saka will also return to Arsenal to undergo rehabilitation.

Southgate hopes that the two players will recover soon, so they are included in the squad for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. But it turns out that they are considered not having enough time to get back fit in this international break.

After appearing in London against San Marino, England will travel to Tirana to face Albania in the continued Group I match. Only then will the Three Lions play again at Wembley to host Poland at the end of this month.
