SEVILLA - Real Betis coach, Manuel Pellegrini, is reportedly interested in signing Manchester United (MU) defender Eric Bailly. The Ivory Coast international is unhappy at United as he is third behind Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof as regular defenders.

Quoted from Tribalfootball , Tuesday (20/4), Bailly will not sign a contract extension at the club, after only eight appearances in the Premier League this season. Bailly only has one year left on his contract, and reports in Spain claim Betis are looking to get him at an affordable price.

United are considered to be releasing Bailly for 13 million pounds, who is predicted to replace defender Aissa Mandi at Betis. But Bailly is actually the back cover that MU coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs, if Maguire or Lindelof are injured or rested.

What's more, Bailly's relationship with Solskjaer doesn't have any problems either. In addition, Bailly has a close friend at MU, namely Paul Pogba, who makes him feel at home at Old Trafford.
