Real Madrid buys back young left wing-back Fran García from Rayo Vallecano who came through their own youth academy..






Real Madrid announced on the official website on Friday that the club has repurchased former Spain U20s international left wing-back Fran García who came through their own youth academy from Rayo Vallecano.


According to Real Madrid's official statement, García has signed on a long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2027.


In addition, according to news reported by Sky Sports' renowned Italian transfer news journalist Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid paid Rayo Vallecano a transfer fee of €5 million to buy back García.


García, who is only 23 years old, was born in Bolaños, Spain on August 14, 1999. He is 1.69 meters tall and plays as a left wing-back.


Garcia joined the youth academy of his hometown club Bolaños when he was 10 years old. He joined the Real Madrid youth academy in the summer of 2013 and completed his Real Madrid first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in a Copa del Rey match in December 2018.


In September 2020, García moved to Rayo Vallecano on a loan with an option to buy. During this time, he helped the club win the Spanish Segunda Division promotion play-offs.


This season, García has played 40 times for the La Liga super dark horse across all competitions, scoring 2 goals and assisting 3 times.
