Real Madrid has set a price for Raphael Varane
5/18/2021, 21:30MADRID - Real Madrid is serious about selling Raphael Varane. Madrid has reportedly set a special price for potential buyers in the transfer market this summer.
Real Madrid reportedly set a price tag of 60 million pounds for Varane and Manchester United (MU) is claimed to be the next main destination for the French defender. However, in the US report quoted by Tribalfootball , Saturday (15/5), MU bid the price of the 28-year-old defender with a tag of 40 million pounds.
El Real had previously rejected an offer of £ 40 million from Manchester United. There have been no further negotiations by the two parties.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reported to have contacted Real Madrid personally to persuade the club about Varane. Solskjaer hopes that Varane can strengthen the stronghold of the Red Devils' troops, which are often criticized by various parties.
The duet of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof is still a mainstay of Solskjaer in choosing defenders. Meanwhile, MU still has an abundant stock of defensive players because it is filled by Eric Bailly, Axel Tuanzebe, and Phil Jones.
However, the Norwegian coach wants to strengthen the defense line in order to compete with his rivals in the English Premier League next season.
