Former Brooklyn Nets player development coach Kyle Korver has been invited to return to the Atlanta Hawks in a new capacity, according to Sham Charania of The Athletic.


Former Brooklyn Nets player development coach Kyle Korver has been invited to return to the Atlanta Hawks in a new capacity, according to Sham Charania of The Athletic.


Korver, 41, spent 17 seasons in the league with the Philadelphia 76ers, Utah Jazz, Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Utah Jazz and Milwaukee Bucks , played a total of 1232 games, averaging 9.7 points, 3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.3 blocks. The overall three-point shooting rate reached 42.9%.


Korver announced his official retirement in 2020 and joined the Brooklyn Nets coaching staff in 2021, where he became a player development coach last season.


Today the Eagles management signed a contract with Korver. He no longer serves as a coach or player, but plays for the Eagles with a new identity. He was invited to serve as the front office of the Eagles. While the exact details of his new role in the front office are unclear, he will play an important role in the organization next season.
