MANCHESTER -- Christian Eriksenter apparently refused to join Manchester United. But the Denmark international finally signed a three-year contract after refusing to extend his stay at Brentford.

Quoted from Tribalfootball , Sunday (17/7/2022), Eriksen had doubts about anchoring to Old Trafford. However, sources close to the player say he is unsure of the Man United project under new coach Erik ten Hag.

Man United clearly offers a better financial package compared to other clubs in order to get his signature. However, the former Inter Milan man finally felt reassured after speaking with Ten Hag, who coached him at Ajax, following his return to action after being sidelined for several months to recover from a heart problem during Euro 2020.

That's why Eriksen became Man United's second signing under the Ten Hag regime, following the arrival of left-back Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord.

"I saw Erik's work at Ajax and I know the level of detail and preparation that he and his staff do every day. It is clear that he is a fantastic coach,'' said Eriks, quoted from the official MU website.

Eriksen said he spoke with Ten Hag and learned more about his vision and the way he wants to play for the team. Therefore, he can't wait to see the future with the Dutch coach.

"I still have big ambitions in the game, there's a lot I know I can achieve, and this is the right place to continue my journey," Eriksen explained.
