BANDUNG -- Ricky Kambuaya is in the public spotlight because he is not in the U-23 national team training camp. Persibini's new players were called up along with Rachmat Irianto and Marc Klok.

Director of PT Persib Bandung Dignity, Teddy Tjahjono also defended his new player. He said Ricky had to solve his personal problems.

"Ricky was called by the national team, the letter is from us, but what I heard is that he has not joined because he has to settle his personal affairs in Papua. But he will join after he said," Teddy said, Wednesday (13/4/2022).

Teddy believes there is nothing wrong with being late for the national team. That's because Ricky had asked permission to finish his business first.

Furthermore, the national team squad will continue their training camp in South Korea. Teddy also confirmed that Ricky would join Persib after completing his country assignment.

"Persib will practice if I'm not mistaken after Lebaran. Maybe on May 14 or 18," said Teddy.

Persib is currently disbanding the team during Ramadan. During the holidays, players are released after a busy competition schedule.
