BANDUNG -- Persib Bandung officially released Gian Zola Nasrulloh on loan to Persela Lamongan. Persib coach Robert Rene Alberts said there were other players from Persib who were offered by other clubs besides Zola.

"Some of our players were contacted by other teams which is normal. They (other clubs) try their luck even though it is sometimes against the rules. I know some, who contacted these players," said Robert, Sunday (15/8).

Robert said there must be a process to Persib's management to apply for the purchase or loan of players. For this reason, the Dutch coach appreciates Persela's actions in sending an official letter for Zola's loan.

"We see that it's good for the player, good for his development because he hasn't played since last year, the competition in midfield is so tight. So it's good for him to take that decision when someone offers him," said Robert.

Now Zola officially joins Persela to navigate BRILiga 12021/2022. Robert also gave his best support and prayers for Zola.

"Players like him in Bandung are in a safe environment. Now he is leaving his comfort zone, playing with other players, different coaching teams, and different management," said Robert.

According to him, this is good for Zola's development and also a lesson for him. After that, Persib will see whether Zola can compete or not in the Maung Bandung squad.

"Because for now we see that he has not been able to compete, especially since he was absent for six months," said Robert.
