Sergi Roberto was substituted at half-time of the Champions League game against Plzeň as a precaution. The diagnosis made at the Camp Nou was confirmed in a new medical examination on Thursday.

The Barcelona player was not injured, just a little muscle discomfort, but not serious. However, as a precaution, Harvey replaced Roberto with Pique to avoid panic.

The minor discomfort had nothing to do with the injury to his right leg, which Harvey forced him to undergo surgery that caused him to miss the second half of last season.

Roberto is likely to start next in La Liga against Cadiz, but is more likely to rest to avoid risk to ensure he remains in top form for next Tuesday's Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
