Ronaldo Starts Barren in Serie A, Pirlo Gives an Explanation
2/10/2021, 14:39 GENOA - Juventus striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, began to rarely score goals in the Serie A. In the last three matches in the competition, Ronaldo failed to find the opponent's goal.
Including the Bianconeri match against the host Sampdoria. Polished team Andrea Pirlounggul 2-0 at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium, Sunday (31/1) early morning WIB.
The goals for the visitors were scored by Federico Chiesa and Aaron Ramsey. Ronaldo played an important role in the creation of Ramsey's goals.
In a counter-attack, the Portugal captain thrust the ball into the running Juan Cuadrado. When he entered the opponent's penalty box, Cuadrado then sent a bait to Ramsey who was standing in front of an empty goal.
Still, Ronaldo's goal drought is something that is discussed. Pirlo was asked to comment on this fact.
"Today Ronaldo again contributed through his bait to create the second goal. So the most important thing is the team won," said 41-year-old allenatore to Sky , quoted by Football Italia .
On a similar occasion, Pirlo especially threw praise for Chiesa. He considered the former Fiorentina starting to find calm.
It makes the winger more confident. By itself the owner of 21 caps for the Italian national team was able to bring out his best.
"He has improved a lot," said Pirlo.
Juventus continues to be rumored to be bringing in additional attackers. Even though the 2021 winter transfer market is coming to an end.
Pirlo immediately dismissed the issue. He considered that the capacity in his team's current attack line was more than enough.
"We have a lot of versatile players who can play different roles, like Chiesa, Dejan Kulusevski and even Ramsey. Then Paulo Dybala will be back in action," he said.
Juventus are in third place in the Serie A standings. With 39 points, the Old Lady is seven points behind AC Milan on the throne. Dybala cs still has one postponed match that hasn't been played.
