MANCHESTER - Former Manchester United goalkeeper, Peter Schmeichel, cannot understand the pressure on United's management to immediately sack the Norwegian coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

According to Schmeichel, his former partner while still strengthening United deserves the opportunity to lift United's performance. The former Danish national team goalkeeper assessed that the demands that Solskjaer be sacked by a number of United fans were ridiculous demands.

Signing a top coach, said Schmeichel, is also not necessarily the right solution to immediately lift United's performance. Schmeichel then referred to when United was handled by Dutch coach Louis Van Gaal, or when coached by former Real Madrid and Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho.

The two coaches were considered unable to bring United to appear consistent and survive in the competition for the title. "I think it's a ridiculous insistence, absolutely ridiculous."

"Do they want the conditions under LVG (Louis Van Gaal) and Jose Mourinho to repeat themselves? What do they really want?,'' Schmeichel told ITV Sports as reported by Triball Football, Wednesday (6/10).

The former goalkeeper who presented five Premier League titles and one Champions League trophy for United also said that currently there is no top coach who understands the culture at United other than Solskjaer.

Likewise with Solskjaer's concern and concern for the development of the Red Devils' young players. Not only that, Schmeichel also reminded about the time needed to be able to build a competitive team and continue to be consistently in the championship competition.

''All need time. I hope people can understand. Remember, United ended last season as runners-up in the English Premier League. So, give Ole time,''said the former Manchester City goalkeeper.

Therefore, Schmeichel hopes that the slanted voices about demands for Solskjaer to immediately end his career as United coach will be stopped immediately.

“Then, the next question is who will replace him? If anyone can name a better coach, I dare argue. I don't think there is a better coach than Solskjaer for United at the moment," said Schmeichel.

Solskjaer's insistence on resigning, which was depicted by the hashtag Ole Out , did indeed stick out following United's inconsistent results. Of the last six matches, United have lost three and picked one win and one draw. Finally, United were held to a draw by Everton, 1-1, in the English Premier League, last weekend.
