Simone Inzaghi: Bayern Munich is almost impossible to beat
3/24/2021, 00:40 MUENCHEN - Lazio coach, Simone Inzaghi, stated, Bayern Munich is almost impossible to beat. He failed to take his team further in the Champions League after being beaten by Munich in the second leg of the last 16 with a score of 1-2, Thursday (18/3) in the morning WIB.
Aggregates of 2-6 make Lazio appear dwarfed in the presence of Die Roten. Inzaghi also acknowledged that Bayern Muenchen's quality was still above his team.
"There are several teams that cannot be played against. Bayern is one of them. We are proud to appear on the European stage and gain experience for being unbeaten in the preliminary round," said Inzaghi as reported by the BBC Sport website , Thursday (18/3).
On the one hand, Inzaghi still appreciates the hard work of his players in the Champions League. He admitted that he was satisfied that the Il Biancoceleste squad had successfully qualified for the knockout phase without being defeated in the preliminary round.
"The players have done well and did not give up. A good performance is very important and we took a positive aspect from this match," explained Inzaghi.
Praise also came from the Bayern Munich coach, Hansi Flick, who appreciated Lazio's hard work in the Champions League. He said this when he defeated the Italian representative in the second leg of the last 16, Thursday (18/3) in the morning WIB with a score of 2-1.
"Lazio have a good defense, but we deserve more to win," said Flick as reported by BBC Sport , Thursday (18/3).
