LONDON -- Chelsea striker Ike Ugbo is close to joining elite Belgian club Genk on a permanent contract.

The 22-year-old has been involved in pre-season with the Blues, but not in manager Thomas Tuchel's immediate plans. According to Goal.com , he was transferred around 5 million euros to the Belgian top club.

In fact many other clubs such as Fulham, Watford, Monaco and Anderlecht have also made moves for Ugbo after he impressed on loan at Cercle Brugge.

Yet he received the strongest proposal from Genk, and was now on the verge of signing a contract.

The Blues are missing a forward who has been at the club since he was nine years old.
