BERGAMO - Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperin said Josip Ilicic acted as a professor when his team crushed Crotone by a landslide score of 5-1. The victory was won in Week 25 of the Italian Serie ALiga2020/2021.

"In the first half it seemed like a bewitching match for the amount we produced," Gasperini told Sky Sport Italia as quoted by Football Italia , Thursday (4/3).

Taking place at the Atleti Azzurri d'Italia Stadium, Thursday (4/3) in the morning WIB, Atalanta's five goals were recorded by different players, namely Robin Gosens, Luis Paolimino, Luis Muriel, Ilicic, and Aleksei Miranchuk. Meanwhile, the visitors' consolation goal was born through Simeon Nwankwo.

The first half was tight. Atalanta successfully opened the scoring but the equalizer came from promoted Crotone.

Gasperini also admitted that he had been frustrated by Serse Cosmo's troops. However, entering the second interval, Atalanta appeared more convincing. The players showed great determination and passion to be able to secure the three points.

"We showed that we are fine. We will try to continue this good moment and we can not relax because the top table is very tight," continued Gasperini.
