MADRID — Lyon young midfielder Rayan Cherki admits he has ambitions to continue his career as a footballer at Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Quoted from football-espana, Sunday (5/9), Rayan Cherki said joining the biggest club in the world like Real Madrid was his dream.
"We all know the club I dream of is Real Madrid. To join the biggest club in the world would be amazing," explained the 18-year-old.
According to Rayan, his move to Real Madrid is the perfect route he has on his mind at the moment.
He wakes up every morning to do that and keeps trying to make his dream come true.
"It was the perfect route and the only one that was on my mind. Every morning I wake up to it and carry on and try to fulfill the dream," said Rayan.
Rayan explained it would be the perfect move if he could succeed with Lyon and continue his success with other clubs.
"The perfect path is this, making history with Lyon and then making it with another club," said the player who has a French and Algerian passport.
If Rayan is finally able to join Real Madrid, then he will follow several Lyon players who went to Real Madrid and managed to taste success.
Previously, there were several names of former Lyon players who continued their careers at Real Madrid such as Mahamdaou Diarra, Michael Essien, Karim Benzema, Mariano Diaz and Ferland Mendy.
