Trabzonspor beats Monaco 4-0 in Europa League: Turkish club climbs to second place in Group H

Turkish football club Trabzonspor moved to second place in Group H with a 4-0 win over French rivals Monaco in their Europa League tie on Thursday.

Visiting Monaco's French defender Marançal scored an own goal at Trabzonspor's Senol Gunes Spor Kompleksi in the 44th minute. Brazilian defender Vitor Hugo headed home just before the second half to give Trabzonspor a 2-0 lead.

Trabzonspor made it 3-0 after their North Macedonian midfielder Enis Bardi scored a free-kick from under the Monaco walls in the 57th minute .

Royal Sociedad

Real Sociedad secured a place in the Europa League knockout rounds, beating Moldovan club Sheriff 3-0 at home. Real Sociedad have won all four games to lead Group E with 12 points . Second-placed Manchester United beat Omonoa 1-0 at Old Trafford in Manchester .

Scottish midfielder Scott McTominay scored the winning goal in the 93rd minute. United have nine points but England are eyeing their next game to secure a place in the Europa League knockout stages.
