Trippier looking for a home in England, a sign to strengthen MU
6/11/2021, 13:40 MANCHESTER - Defender Kieran Trippier has reportedly been looking for a home in the city of Manchester and that is at the same time increasing his pace back into the Premier League. Reporting from the Mirror , Saturday (5/6), MU is ready to increase efforts to get the player belonging to Atletico Madrid this summer.
During his uniform with Los Rojiblancos, Trippier achieved success by lifting the Spanish La Liga trophy this season. MU coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to provide tough competition at right-back position. Because then all players will compete to bring out the best in their abilities.
Trippier wants to return to the Premier League despite having just won La Liga. But now he hopes to make an impact on the England national team at Euro 2020. The former Tottenham Hotspur star then has a comparison between the styles of coaches Diego Simeone and Gareth Southgate.
According to Tripper, the quality levels of the two coaches have something in common. However, Simeone is considered crazier on the sidelines. Both coaches have brilliant tactics and almost the same style of play.
"A bit different in terms of character because Simeone is absolutely crazy, as you can see on the touchline, running in the tunnel when we won the other day, but both are fantastic coaches," Trippier explained.
MU seems to be trying to secure a number of targets for players to be recruited this summer after previously failing. Jadon Sancho, one of United's targets, seems to be getting closer to Old Trafford. Center backs Raphael Varane or Pau Torres are also likely to join.
United ended the season without a trophy and that made Solskjaer disappointed. The Red Devils failed to take advantage of the opportunity to lift the Europa League trophy after losing on penalties to Villarreal in the final. Solskjaer also wants to improve his squad to welcome next season.
