Ukraine joins bid to host 2030 World Cup

According to Spanish newspaper Aspen, Ukraine will join Spain and Portugal in bidding for the 2030 World Cup.

The plan has been approved by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the governments of Spain and Portugal . The 2022 World Cup kicks off in Qatar on November 20 , while the 2026 World Cup will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Alexander Ceferin supports this project

 

UEFA president Alexander Ceferin backed the Spanish and Portuguese projects and insisted that " this is European football 's bet on the 2030 World Cup " .

                            

Spain has chosen 15 stadiums spread across 13 different cities . Madrid and Barcelona each offer two namely the Bernabeu, Metropolitano, Camp Nou and RCDE stadiums, as well as the stadiums of San Mames (Bippo), Real Arena, La Catuja and Nuevo Mestalla. FIFA will decide the final venue next year.
