BANDUNG -- Persib Bandung contributed three players to the Indonesian U-23 national team squad. The U-23 national team will compete at the 2021 Vietnam SEA Games on 6-22 May 2022.

The three players are Marc Klok, Rachmat Irianto, and Ricky Kambuaya. Commissioner of PT Persib Bandung with dignity, Umuh Muchtar, hopes that his players can contribute to Indonesia.

"Hopefully, I always pray, Persib players who play outside, hopefully they are given health, safety and are not injured," Umuh said as quoted from the club's official website, Saturday (30/4/2022).

With the length of the championship, it means that all three will not join the team in the first practice. The Persib team will gather again on May 16, 2022.

The U-23 national team will be in Group A with the hosts, Vietnam, as well as the Philippines, Timor Leste and Myanmar. Umuh hopes that his players will return to the team soon after playing for the U-23 national team.

"I can rejoin Persib in one piece and there are no problems. I always pray and hopefully the players return to Persib," said Umuh.

Umuh's desire is for the players to complete quickly because the Maung Bandung squad has a pre-season program to face next season's competition. He admits pre-season is an important time for the club to finalize preparations, even if the team has to follow pre-season.

"If we from the leadership hold anything and it doesn't burden the club, we will definitely agree (the pre-season tournament). That can be calculated, it must benefit all parties, no one is harmed," explained Umuh.
