United start talks with RB Salzburg over potential transfer of Sesko

Benjamin Sesko has 11 goals and six assists in just 12 starts.

MANCHESTER - Manchester United (MU) has reportedly started talks with RB Salzburg regarding the transfer of Benjamin Sesko. However, quoted from Sky Sports , Thursday (4/8/2022), the discussion was hampered by a fairly large difference in valuation for the 19-year-old player.

Now MU must decide whether to complete the deal or not. On the other hand, Salzburg are under no pressure to sell Sesko, who has four years left on his contract.

The teenager has made 13 appearances for the Slovenian national team. Sesko also enjoyed quite an impressive season last season, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists in just 12 starts in all competitions.

Sesko also scored against Liverpool in a pre-season game last week. With so much interest from other clubs, MU couldn't help but move quickly to make a decision.

It is not yet known how much the asking price by Salzburg. But with Sesko's four-year contract still in hand, and the long prospect that awaits him, the Austrian club are not sure to be cheap. On the other hand, United are working hard to find a striker, with news of Cristiano Ronaldo's desire to leave.

Ronaldo had already sparked tension when he left Old Trafford when the MU vs Rayo Vallecano match was not over. United coach Erik ten Hag has stated that he does not approve of Ronaldo's attitude, who played in the first 45 minutes.
