JAKARTA - Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez admits he doesn't know about the future of midfielder Miralem Pjanic at La Blaugrana in the player transfer market this summer. Although Xavi admits Pjanic is a great player with a unique vision.

"We will see what happens from now until the end of the transfer window," Xavi said after Barcelona drew 2-2 against Juventus in a friendly match, as reported by the Football-Espana website, Thursday (28/7/2022).

In that match, Xavi fielded Pjanic in the 46th minute replacing senior player Sergio Busquets. Pjanic was brought in by Juventus in the summer of 2020 from Juventus in an exchange scheme involving Brazilian midfielder Arthur.

During a season with Barcelona, the 32-year-old was unable to show his best performance and was often not the first choice in the Blaugrana squad. Pjanic has appeared in 30 Barcelona games without a goal or assist.

After that Pjanic was loaned out to Turkish League side Besiktas in the summer of 2021 and featured in 26 games to make four assists. He returned to the Camp Nou this summer. Prior to arriving at Barcelona, Pjanic spent his best seasons with AS Roma and Juventus.
